Insync on Linux: Dropbox syncing files from non-selected folders into main directory

Have Insync v3.8.4.50481 installed on my Linux PC (Pop!_OS 22.04).

For my DropBox account I have selected a couple of folders for 2way sync.
Insync now has started synching a lot of pictures and other files from directories I have NOT selected and do not want to sync - and put all of them directly into the root folder.

I did quit Insync to avoid it messing up my Dropbox drive.
Please advise where the issue could be.
