I currently have Insync 1.2.6 installed and I am running Ubuntu 14.04. Since the last Insync update I have noticed the following bug. When logging out of Ubuntu to switch to another user account the screen will hang for ages and I mean 2 to 3 minutes before it actually goes to the Switch User login screen. When Insync is turned off this does not happen and it will logout immediately and go to the Switch User screen. This is obviously a bug that has come with the last update.
Same problem in 1.2.7
I have tested this on 2 computers. Hope someone find what causes this soon.
Yes, I confirm this behavior (Version: 1.2.7.35123). insync somehow interferes with the logout process. Mint 17.1 Cinnamon in my case.
Same problem here. Ubuntu 14.04, insync 1.2.10, but has been happening since install of 1.2. Adds about two minutes to logout. If I do nothing else but manually close insync before logging out, logout is near instant, so this is definitely insync-related.
I do believe this is part of a bigger problem. Some people are also having problems when shutting down with other Linux Distros in that it takes ages before the computer actually shuts down. I know insync are looking at this particular problem and are hoping to have a fix out soon. I think when insync addresses that problem it will probably also fix our logout problem. Well heres hoping anyway.
Same problem for me on Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon. I have read other threads where it was stated that this is fixed, but it obviously is not.
EDIT: Just downloaded and installed version 1.2.11 and it fixed my slow shutdown/restart/logoff problem!
I can confirm that this bug has been fixed with the latest insync download 1.2.11 which is now available on the insync website.
I don’t face delay in logout, but insync process does not get killed on logout.
For example, if I logout from xfce and log in to KDE, I get a notification that insync is already running and won’t be started again.
That would be fine if everything worked as expected, but tray icon is not visible in this case.
Hi guys, thank you for contributing in this thread. There have been several issues addressed by the new version but in any case I will tag our engineer @lpugoy here so he can look through it. Thanks
I am using Fedora 22 with xfce.
I am having no more problems with this bug and it appears to have been fixed since the release of insync 1.2.11
