Having had problems with Linux program syncing and deleting files on the local drive, I suggested that there should be a one way upload to google drive using insync.
Has any further consideration been given to this?

This would be great, one way sync (either way). But it should not be necessary once the compare feature is out…
I had huge problems with the insync system deleting the local files and then slowly deleting the server files as well - which resulted in a server meltdown. I have now had to stop using insync which is a shame.
