Since InSync has to create a database of our drive contents and our local files. And for those of us with network speeds faster than SSD speeds, it might make sense for an option to select a google drive folder to host our InSync “gd2-number.db” database. This way it doesn’t have to be rebuilt on each machine I use InSync on.

Hmm, interesting suggestion that I’ll bring up with the team. Note though that the database also stores information about the current sync status, and hence is specific to each machine. There would have to be significant changes to allow an online/external cache of metadata as you suggest.
