Local files and folders getting deleted

I have a Microsoft OneDrive account that I mostly use as an archive, where I will manually copy/upload files (such as photos, and various types of documents) that I don’t want synced in real time to my Linux computer. However I do have some folders that I do want synced, and I have set these up in the Insync file manager with CSS 2 way sync.

I noticed that if I create a new file or folder on OneDrive, that change very soon replicates down to my Linux Mint local copy.

However if I create a new file or folder on the Linux Mint local copy, Insync immediately starts turning off sync on those folders/files and every other file with them, and then starts deleting them. They remain intact on OneDrive. After a while, Insync starts re-creating the folders and files by re-syncing all of them from OneDrive all over again. This can take several hours.

What am I doing wrong?

@Pilgrimpez You’re probably not doing anything wrong and it’s likely that this issue is related to this and this one, where I see you left a comment.

Kindly send your logs.db and out.txt files to support@insynchq.com with the link to this post, and include a few names of files or folders that were deleted.

To collect your logs, quit Insync first then go to ~/.config/Insync afterwards to find the requested files. We’ll investigate this and will let you know what steps to take next.
