Moving files once on Google Drive?

What happens when I move a file or folder that’s synced to a different location on my Google Drive? What will happen to the file locally?

I recently uploaded a number of files using inSync, moved them to another folder (rather than the root) and the files disappeared from my local hard drive. While the disk showed the files still there, they were invisible and I had to recover them from a backup.

Before I attempt this again, I’d like to know more about how moving files on the Google Drive affects files locally. I’d rather not keep everything on the root directory of my Google Drive and would like inSync to help upload and organize them for me.

Ps. Is there any way to enable a one-way sync using inSync?

@Nathan_Thompson It will continue or resume syncing to your current location. :slight_smile: It is best that you move the files that is inside your Insync folder, and it will just sync to Google Drive with your current folder structure. :smile:

One-way sync is not yet possible right now. I will +1 you on this request.
