Hi all,
I’m currently using Insync Headless on an Ubuntu server so that my locally stored data is cloud accessible but with the speed of a local server when at home and with the convenience of a local network path in Windows.
It all works great but my one issue is that I use Google Docs and when Insync syncs to my local drive it will sync the link file, which is fine. My issue is that when moving folders and so on if I move a .gdsheet file locally the link file moves but the linked folder address in Drive remains the same.
This creates an issue where if something is moved or deleted the link to that .gdsheet is still in Drives mind in the old destination.
The end result is always having to go into the Drive interface to move my spreadsheets around before I move anything on my local network.
Is there any way around this short of using excel conversion which I’m concerned would break certain spreadsheets.
I realise this is a Google Drive issue more than Insync but I wanted to ask as it is potentially a deal breaker for me going forward using Drive and related apps in my work environment.
Thanks.
