Fedora 30 updated. The app starts (shows in ‘ps’ and the desktop widget appears in the KDE task bar) but the UI does not appear on clicking and cannot be used. This is a regression with respect to 3.0.11.

At least the man page is less misleading, since it now says virtually nothing. Apparently the only remaining CLI option is ‘start’.

ADDED:
I then ran insync from the terminal. It complained that there was another instance running (true) and quit. However the existing widget now opens when I click on it.

Eek. Very pleased to participate in the beta process, but please don’t label this as a production release when there is so much work still to do. On top of a few minor issues, this release modified hundreds of files in my Google Drive and there’s no way to undo this.

Just go a new laptop and wanted to download/install insync, but this 3.0 update keeps crashing on me. Is there a link somewhere for the older 1.5 version?
Edit: NVM found it by searching “releases” on the forums.

in fedora 30 The app starts (shows the desktop widget and appears in the KDE task bar) but the UI does not respond !

When I press the Add Google Drive button (or Add OneDrive) nothing happens
in the terminal I get:

kde-open5: /usr/lib/insync/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.12.4_PRIVATE_API' not found (required by /lib64/libQt5Xml.so.5)

the same is happening with all the version 3 releases…

Upgraded to 3.0.14 (on F30). InSync runs, but started to upload (or check - no way of knowing) everything in my local insync-directory, averaging abt 130% cpu load (interestingly, pausing it doesn’t seem to make a difference…)
When I open the UI a QT process pops up that takes another 80-90% CPU.
Meanwhile, the upload (or check) process gets stuck at ‘Syncing XXX items’, where XXX is anything between 100 and 15.000 items…

Soo… can’t wait for the next beta :yum:

My issue is solved in 3.0.16!
