Nixpkgs insync package blocker

I have trying to put insync-v3 back to work in nixpkgs. With insync 3.8.4.50481 there few issues:

  • (BLOCKER) python 3.7 is removed from nixpkgs unstable.
  • It is suspected that Insync sanitizes XDG_* environment variables, hence the notification icon cannot be located in a non-FHS system like Nix (the exact the reason for XDG_DATA_DIRS !).

I’d love to get some official insync help on this one.

We’ll check this out for you and see if we have a workaround to get things up and running. Heads up: there are possible delays in my updates as our engineer in charge of these tickets is taking a much needed time off to focus on important matters. Thank you for understanding!
