No icon in the system tray on Windows 10 Pro

Hello,

Is anyone able to assist?
I installed Insync 3.1.6.40808 onto a new Windows 10 Pro machine. For some reason the icon in the system tray is not showing, there is a blank area when i click it brings up Insync, but no icon is there.
I have since upgraded it to 3.1.7.40811 but there is still no icon there.
Also i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still have the same issue.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get this icon to show?

I’ve noticed the Windows 10 fails to show a LOT of tray icons, especially after an Windows update.

It’s an old IT trope, have you tried rebooting? When I have missing tray icons a reboot usually fixes it.

Hello,

Yes i have tried rebooting a couple of times and still the same issue.
I thought uninstalling and reinstalling may help but didn’t.
Any other ideas?

Okay, looks like i now have the system tray icon.
I uninstalled 3.1.7 and removed the leftover Insync files in AppData.
I then installed version 3.0.31 and set up my google drive on it, at this point the icon is showing.
Then i upgraded it to 3.1.7 and the icon still shows so all good.
