No system tray icon in Fedora 22 - KDE

Just ran into this today - I am missing the icon in the system tray. Insync cli starts just fine and seems to be syncing ok.

@Chris_Paquin

Below are the common causes for the tray icon not showing.

sni-qt is not installed. Try installing it then restart Insync.

In some cases, when Insync is set to run at startup the tray icon is not shown. To confirm that Insync is running but there’s no tray icon, run ps -ef | grep ‘insync start’; if there’s an output then Insync is running. In this case, try stopping then restarting Insync to see if the tray icon will show.

Lastly, sometimes an outdated video card driver could cause the tray icon to not show. Try updating your video card driver if possible and restart Insync.

The issue that I was having seems to be related to using yum instead of DNF to remove/install insync. Yum did not remove /lib/insync which was causing an error when attempting to run the update. I had to delete /lib/insync/* and then run dnf install insync which allowed insync to install properly. Once this occured, the tray icon appeared.

Thanks.
