No system tray icon

When I initially installed Insync, everything worked including the tray icon and attendant commands.

I purchased the new Prime a few hours ago, and the tray icon would not restart the program and the menu said an instance was already at work. I deleted the icon, uninstalled and reinstalled the program including insync-nemo which seemed to have been installed with the working version, installed sni-qt, ran ps -ef | grep ‘insync start’ . I have no crontab for this program to remove and I don’t see upgrading the video card driver as it worked with it before.

EDIT: The program IS working, I just can’t control what it’s doing.

I need a simple, 4th-grade sort of non-tekkie way to fix this! Thank you.

RESOLVED: “Remove this applet” removes ALL notifications dependent on the System Tray (systray@cinnamon.org). To reinstall it, use System Settings | Applets; right-click on the program and select “Add to panel.” Everything comes back as before!

Hope this helps someone down the road!
