I have the same issue.
Fedora release 34 (Thirty Four)
What I do see recently is that if I start the session with wayland, the icon appears
Maybe it’s all some conflict of the gnome extensions?
Hi @goloka_d,
It’s possible that this is related to the known bug when Insync uses GNOME. Can you confirm your desktop environment’s version?
I using the Mate spin of Fedora release 34.
I have the same issue with latest Insync on Mate and Cinnamon - on Manjaro Testing.
Hi @JimJones
Thank you for reporting, and my apologies for the trouble! I am following it up with our Linux team so we can get to the bottom of this issue. I appreciate your patience!
Aside from sharing your distro and desktop environment, could you please specify which Insync build you have installed? (ie f34, f35, etc)
That would help us replicate the setup and investigate on the tray icon issue further. Thank you very much!
My insync version is:
$ insync version
3.7.3.50326
I’m on manjaro testing, but in this thread somone with Fedora 34 (f34) has the same issue.
gnome 41.4
kernel 5.10.102-manjaro
insync 3.7.3
Thank you all for sending the requested info! Our engineers will be working to mirror your machine setups and conduct tests to replicate the issue and then line up a fix.
