No tray icon in Plasma 5.2 (KaOS)

I’ve installed Insync 1.2.7 in KaOS (a KDE based distro) and tray icon is not showing.
Sni-qt package is updated and I’ve read all the documents about this issue without luck.

This is what I get when I run:

$ insync start --no-daemon

which: no kreadconfig in (/usr/lib/insync:usr/bin:/usr/lib/qt5/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)
No systemtrayicon available

Thank you for any help.

@danyelmo Thanks for the report. We are aware of the issue but we don’t have a solution yet. As a workaround please try wmsystemtray (http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2014/06/where-are-my-systray-icons/). The Insync icon might not show but clicking inside wmsystemtray works.

Thank you for you fast response.
I did test wmsystemtray but it doesn’t works for me.

Regards.

@danyelmo I see. Maybe you could ask the developers of KaOS to apply the patch in the link given above?

Any news on this?
I am using wmsystemtray and it works (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed), but this is just a (quite ugly) workaround.
When will we have the real thing?

@Cris70 No ETA yet, sorry.

Hi,

I believe this is still the case as I cannot see the icon without wmsystemtray. Not even after trying the tips here: http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2014/06/where-are-my-systray-icons/

Any chance this will be fixed?

Thanks,
Stefanos

@V13: Apologies for not replying sooner. There is still no ETA for this, apologies for the trouble.
