Not starting on opensuse Leap 16

Hello there,

after the Reop issue got fixed and the installation worked without errors I encountered a startup problem.

insync start

gives no feedback in konsole

insync status
Insync doesn't seem to be running. Start it first.

and

insync start --no-daemon

out.txt is the same as -no-deamon

I don’t want to sound impatient or something but it’s 2,5 weeks since I opened this topic and nothing so far.

Is it a bigger problem to fix?
Or do you need additional infos to diagnose this problem?

I’m a little confused
In the release notes you linked is no mention of Leap 16 …

And zypper up also can’t find an update either.

Same for Tumbleweed. The repo set up in the install guide doesn’t have the new version either.

The package “insync-3.9.8.60034-leap15.6.x86_64.rpm” for Leap 15.6 seems to be work under Leap 16.0. It starts without problems.

Thanks for that info, than the Leap 16 repo still needs to be updated. At least for logical reasons @mia

Hi @caneworld @drunkenungulate. The link I sent is a forums release, which will be in our APT, YUM, and ZYPPER repositories very soon. My apologies for causing confusion here-- I’ll make sure to include that info moving forward.

I’ve also forwarded your feedback regarding the installers. Thanks @Robert_M for sharing that the 15.6 works without issues.

After a little trouble logging in, I can confirm Insync 3.9.8 starts and works flawlessly on Leap 16 so far. :+1:
