Hello all,
I tried to search and did not really found a solution for this so i post it here. I found some very old threads but they are as said very old and not helping.
So basically i keep getting allot of notifications about updated files each day and sometimes constantly like now when i wakes up my pc.
The notifications are on files on my server that actually have not been changed (old family picture, videos etc).
The most curious part is these folders are not even in my selected folders. I only have 2 folders i want to sync for now and pretty much all notifications are outside of these folders.
So why does Insync monitor changes for these folders to start with?
And why do i get notification about them?
There should be a way to limit the notification to only folders i actually want to have synced (this should be the default).
I file this under bug since it just seems like a wrong behaviour. But please correct me if my understanding of how it works is wrong.
Lastly, the product works really well beside this little annoyance
I also wish there were a release note attached in the version so we could see what updates there are in each version.
Hello, @vampyren! You get notifications when Insync detects any changes within your account, which includes files/folders that were not synced.
At the moment, notifications are app-wide but I would be happy to forward your feedback on how to improve this feature. At any time, you can disable them by un-checking this setting:
Hello Mia,
Yes exactly, and that is an issue really. I see this problem is very very old and to be honest it should have been solved long ago.
I don’t want to disable it since i wan to know if there is a update for my folders but as it is today its either everything or nothing.
Is this a limitation of OneDrive or InSync, if latter then yes it should for sure be fixed.
Please do forward this to the team and also mention there are many people requesting this and the request is very old. Its not like we need 100 new features at every update but these things are very important to have for a sync program specially.
Sorry if i sound a bit pushy but i think your program is the only solution i found to work very well so i want it to be even better
Cheers
Not pushy at all, @vampyren! I completely understand where you’re coming from and absolutely appreciate your support in how we can continue improving Insync.
I will be adding your vote to this If you need anything else, just let me know!
