Option to convert plain text to/from google doc

Hi

Could you guys add an option to convert plain text to and from google docs.

Not sure how this could be implemented, maybe files with text/plain mime could be converted to google doc, but the reverse there needs to be a way to mark a google doc as a plaintext doc ?

I would love love love to see the ability to convert google doc to markdown and vice versa. i.e. google docs appear locally as plain text .markdown files and when I edit those .markdown files, the google doc on my drive gets updated accordingly.
