Rename Local sync folder

i synced a local folder named ABC2021. On google drive, it appears as ABC2021
If I change the folder name locally, insync no longer sees it and loses synchronization
How do I rename it to ABC locally?
I know I can unsynchronize the folder, create one locally with the name I prefer, add it to my drive account just clicking “add to” in insync and move the files in google drive from the old folder to the new one, but there are a lot of files and it would take too long (with the risk of losing sync with some files). I was looking for a simpler method.

Hi @Gaspare_Serroni,

Did you sync ABC2021 via Local Selective Sync or Cloud Selective Sync? Also, what’s your Insync version?

So what’s the answer on this folks? Simple question: can we rename the sync folder or not?

Yes you can, @soundsleit :slight_smile: Folders that were synced both via Cloud and Local Selective Sync can be renamed, and Insync will pick up on the changes.
