[RESOLVED] Insync interferes with upgrading Linux Mint 21.3 to 22.0

Linux mint will not upgrade because of Insync bad repository I am guessing.

Hi @Billy_Barrington, apologies for the trouble!

You can uninstall Insync first while you update your OS version. Afterwards, you can follow these links and install the Insync Linux Mint 22.x build:

EDIT: I have also sent this to our Linux Team to see why it’s happening.

I uninstalled Insync and attempted to upgrade Linux Mint again. Nothing changed. The same problem occurred again. Evidently it didn’t uninstall everything from Insync.

A full uninstallation involves removing everything in the ~.config/Insync folder, which means that you’d have to sync from scratch which I assume you don’t want to happen.

I’ll send this to our Linux engineer for further investigation!

Hi @Billy_Barrington
When running sudo apt update do errors appear? If yes, can you post those here?

In the meantime, you can delete the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list and then proceed with your Linux mint upgrade to 22.0

No errors. Deleted the insync.list file and was able to upgrade Linux Mint. Thanks so much for your help!
