Linux mint will not upgrade because of Insync bad repository I am guessing.
Hi @Billy_Barrington, apologies for the trouble!
You can uninstall Insync first while you update your OS version. Afterwards, you can follow these links and install the Insync Linux Mint 22.x build:
EDIT: I have also sent this to our Linux Team to see why it’s happening.
I uninstalled Insync and attempted to upgrade Linux Mint again. Nothing changed. The same problem occurred again. Evidently it didn’t uninstall everything from Insync.
A full uninstallation involves removing everything in the ~.config/Insync folder, which means that you’d have to sync from scratch which I assume you don’t want to happen.
I’ll send this to our Linux engineer for further investigation!
Hi @Billy_Barrington
When running sudo apt update
do errors appear? If yes, can you post those here?
In the meantime, you can delete the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list
and then proceed with your Linux mint upgrade to 22.0
thank you for your attention!
No errors. Deleted the insync.list file and was able to upgrade Linux Mint. Thanks so much for your help!
Thank you for your update, @Billy_Barrington ! Glad to know it has been resolved.
Thanks for the assist, @Kurt_Ko!
