Selecting folder when using right click -> Add to Insync?

I just found out about Insync and am trying it right now. I want to backup my external harddrive to GDrive as well and am trying to right click some folders and press ‘Add to Insync’. This does work, but these folders end up in the main Insync location, which is not useful at all. Whenever I try to move them afterwards, they get deleted or invisible on the original drive…

What exactly is happening here? Is it possible to select an Insync folder where these files go instead of the root?

Hi @pablo,

When you use add to Insync, Insync will create a symlink or alias or junction inside your Insync folder. It will not take much of a space in your HD and also it is not a duplicate file from your external drive.

I see it creates a symlink, but that’s not exactly what I asked. I’ve emailed support now :smile:
