Syncing existing folders?

Hello,
I need to sync a specific folder on my local drive with Google Drive. However, I don’t have enough space to hold two copies of that folder, one in the original location and a copy of it in the Insync folder, since the folder is huge. Is there a way to select existing folders to sync or it all has to be copied/duplicated? Btw, I’m on Windows 7 and tried using “Link Shell Extension” to create symlinks but it doesn’t keep updating, always remains with the original folders.

It will create a symlink copy in your Insync folder. It is not a duplicte and will not take much of a space.
