sometimes, I pause syncing, e.g. when I am on mobile networks or creating lots of temporary files for hours (e.g. when backing up one’s CD collection, which can generate tons of temporary files depending on application).
But I typically forget to restart syncing and sooner or later get file conflicts (how are conflicts negotiated in InSync, btw?) because of concurrent access from multiple devices or logins in Google.
It would be nice if InSync could show an optional notification/reminder every day (or every few hours) that synchronization is still paused, with the option to restart sync.
Possible enhancements:
- show pause status in dashboard
- send email
- send email which lists currently paused devices
I understand that the enhancements require communication with your servers, so should be optional because privacy.
