Hi Guys,

Is there already an easy way to install insync on my Synology?
I saw a manual with SSH, but I am not that kind of nerd :slight_smile: (sorry if I offended you).

Please help.

Hello, unfortunately right now we have no experience installing Insync on such a system. The likeliest candidate to work would be either the portable version or the one for CentOS/RHEL 6, installers for which you can download from our downloads page :slight_smile:

I use Insync on my PC (plus 8 clients that use Synology as well) and just use the Synology Cloudsync app on my Synology DS, it works way better than the standard Google sync and has additional setting to make it really useful to sync from a Synology NAS, so you dont even need Insync for your NAS

Posting for info posterity:

Cloudsync does not preserve file permissions. May not matter to some, maybe most, but it’s a deal-breaker for me. Other than that, it’s a fine app.
