Ubuntu to Windows 11 - Slow (very slow) for an edited file

I am on a 7 day trial and just installed it today. As a long time user of windows and onedrive, onedrive is important to me.
I have only installed insync on Ubuntu.
My observations are:

  1. Editing a file in Windows is synced very quickly in Ubuntu.
  2. Creating a new file in Ubuntu is synced very quickly in Windows 11.
  3. Editing an existing (and saving) file in Ubuntu onedrive takes ages and ages to sync back to Windows (at present it has not synced in 10 minutes).

Update: Did a timed test and it took 15 minutes to sync from Ubuntu to Windows 11.

Hi @alisam,

My apologies for the trouble! Could you let me know if editing and saving an existing file on Ubuntu gets synced quickly to OneDrive web? Or does that also take ages to happen?

I would say an edit to an existing file in UBUNTU was synced very quickly to OneDrive Web. I am still waiting for a sync to Windows 11 and 9 minutes has passed so far. OneDrive on Windows 11, does not show any sync as yet and confirmed by opening the file (LibreOffice Writer Document).

Hi @alisam ,

If Insync is syncing from Ubuntu to OneDrive without any issues, then it might be that the OneDrive app is behaving in some way on your Windows 11 machine.

It’s best to contact Microsoft Support if you are noticing this delay on your Windows 11 machine to make sure.

Thank you Mia for your comments. I cannot fault your logic. In spite of unlinking and removing OneDrive from my Windows 11 machine and then re-installing, nothing has changed.
So (in case someone else feels that they have a similar problem) my observations for my environment are:
Editing a file in OneDrive is very quickly processed by Insync.
Editing a file in Ubuntu, the file is very quickly processed by Insync into OneDrive online, but OneDrive takes 8-10 minutes to be sent to the Windows 11 machine.
I can accept the 8-10 minutes.
All in all, through testing, Insync has processed all my sync tests correctly.
