The Insync context menu options have disappeared from Finder when right clicking on a file in Google Drive. I am running Insync 1.3.2 and the latest MacOS X 10.11 (El Capitan).
Hi @Jamie_Smith can you try the workaround here?
" A new system policy (System Integrity Protection) in El Capitan has
made Insync context menus and file icon overlays no longer work. We are
currently working on making Insync compatible with SIP.
In the meantime, one thing you can try is to disable SIP.
Restart your Mac.Before OS X starts up, hold down Command-R and keep it held down
until you see an Apple icon and a progress bar. Release. This boots you
into Recovery. From the Utilities menu, select Terminal. At the prompt type exactly the following and then press Return: csrutil disable
Terminal should display a message that SIP was disabled. From the menu, select Restart.
You can re-enable SIP by following the above steps, but using csrutil enable instead. "
We apologize for the inconvenience!
Hi Jaduenas: for those of us who do not want to compromise system security (!!) – is there another way to quickly / easily get the public url of a shared file? Thanks.
@thomass Sorry, but right now, there isn’t a way to do that via Insync. We will however be releasing 10.11 context menu support in the next version, which should be available for testing by this week. We’re sorry for the inconvenience!
