Why is there a need for "base folder"

I wonder why is there a need for a “base folder”? I want to custom sync/merge my folders.

For example:

  • Local > Google Drive *
    Backup > 00 - Backup
    Documents > 01 - Documents
    .fonts > 02 - Fonts

Non of that folders should be base folder. Each folder has it own location on local drive.

You can opt to not have an actual “base folder”

  1. To sync your Google Drive directly to a local directory, just select that particular directory as the location upon onboarding
  2. If you want to sync specific folders in your Google Drive to folders in your local directory you may do so within the cloud browser: image
