This is the situation on Google Drive:
- You format your system and create a fresh Windows installation
- You install Drive and point to your good old Drive folder (which is located on another partition)
- Google Drive will make duplicates of every single file on the Drive
The only way to prevent this is by backing up Drive’s data and restoring after the format. Or just re-download the entire Drive.
Now how would InSync handle this situation? Will it properly avoid duplicates? If I point it to the Drive folder (without any prior Google Drive installation), will it just consider newly created files for sync?
