External Hard Drive

Hi there,

I am a photographer and store my complete archive on one external hard drive. To keep the files safe I would like to sync this hard drive automatically to my Google drive.

I have tested it with a copy and the following happened:

• insync put all files into my google drive folder on my computer
• then synced the files to google drive
• then deleted all files from the external hard drive

That’s not quite right. Is there a possibility to sync the hard drive as a whole, not go via my internal hard drive and then most importantly NOT delete the external hard drive afterwards?

Please let me know how to set it up in a secure way.

I’m really sorry for not being able to get back to you sooner. I missed your forum post

We have to investigate what causing the issue, since Insync should not delete any of your files. Please send us your logs.db and out.txt to support@insynchq.com

How to find the log files

Tray icon is visible Click on the [image] in your tray menu.
