Insync Headless fails to register atexit [under investigation, roll back to 3.2.7 for now]

Hello,

I am running:

Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
insync-headless version: 3.2.8.10773-buster
APT-Sources: http://apt.insync.io/ubuntu noble/non-free amd64 Packages

When I start insync headless:

insync-headless start --no-daemon

I see following error:

Any idea how to fix it?

thx

Hi @Jan_Paral. Apologies for the trouble! I’ve alerted our engineers regarding this so we can deploy a fix as soon as possible.

Hi Mia, for your information I have exactly the same issue as Jan… any news on when the fix will be available?

Also the previous version worked flawlessly, should I “go back” to that?

@Ian_MAC, you may roll back while we look into this. Could you share your distro version so I can provide the correct installer? Thank you!

Hi Mia, I am using currently Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS [noble].

I’ll get back to you as soon as I’ve gotten the correct installer from our Linux Team. Thank you!

Hi Mia, any update on either the fix for the currently released version or the rollback…?

So sorry for the trouble-- this key expiry issue happened simultaneously with the 3.2.7 desktop version’s release and we should have foreseen it to avoid trouble on your end. To fix the error, please run this for APT:

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys ACCAF35C

I’m following up on the 3.2.7-headless version for you as well as the fix. Thank you for your patience!

Hi @Ian_MAC, could you try this command instead:

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys ACCAF35C

It’s slightly different than the one I sent earlier.

Same response I am afraid

A little bit of AI and I have cleared the apt update issue… now just looking for the fix to the headless syncing

Hi Mia, any update on the fix for headless sync? If has been over two weeks without service now.

Let me send an urgent follow up to our team, @Ian_MAC. Apologies for the delays in fixing this.

Hi! I’ve got the same issue here.
I’m using Fedora Server 39 with insync-headless version 3.2.8.10773
Any update for this version?
Regards!

@Jan_Paral @Ian_MAC @etejedaw Apologies for taking a while. Our engineer found the cause and is investigating it right now.

In the meantime, we’ve rolled back to 3.2.7: Install Guide - Insync for Servers

Hi Mia, I rolled back but now I am getting a subscription error… can you help

Hi @Ian_MAC ,

Let me check that for you. Could you please send the invoice of your license purchase to support@insynchq.com? Do include the link to this post so I can trace this accordingly.

I am ok after downgrading to 3.2.7.10758, including registration, thanks. J
