Insync not working

Hi guys,

I’m running KDE kubuntu 14.10

kde libs 4.1.4.1 ; qt 4.8.6 ; kernel 3.16.0-41

I purchased insync a some months ago and worked fine until now. The problem is that i don’t see it on the system tray anymore, so i can’t use it, and if i try to run/execute the program says that another instance is already running.

Is this a bug or an issue with my OS ?

Thanks for your help

@Pedro_Reis It’s probably a rare issue of Insync not showing the tray icon at startup. Please try running ps -ef | grep insync to check if there’s a running Insync process. If so quit it then rerun Insync.

i already stopped and relaunch the program manually (insync start) it doesn’t work.

What does insync start --no-daemon show?

Same thing. It says that another instance is already running.

Do i have to reinstall ?

I saw this posts :

Is it related ?

Guys , i’m frustrated with this new support model, i really need help. I don’t think that a forum is a proper support model.

@Pedro_Reis I see. Please try opening then closing the .db files under ~/.config/Insync. They are sqlite3 dbs.

I don’t see how this could help, but ok…

I have opened 1 with gedit (config.db), the other one (gd2-115949674627578743540.db) is waiting to long to open, then crashes.

@Pedro_Reis I meant that you should open it with a program that handles sqlite3 files. You could try sqlitebrowser: https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/sqlitebrowser/. Apologies for the confusion.
